Determined to make a difference for patients
Today’s patient access environment is becoming more and more challenging. To minimize the risk of clinical uncertainties and safeguard the healthcare budget, health authorities want to see increasingly compelling evidence.
Meanwhile pharmaceutical companies want payers to look beyond price, acknowledging the value and rewarding innovation.
Challenge
Axes Health was founded to overcome this patient access challenge by bridging the gap between the various stakeholders and co-creating solutions.
Using a personalized and collaborative approach, we obtain clear insights in the healthcare landscape, the needs of all stakeholders and the opportunities they offer.

A story that made a difference for patients
One of our recent success stories was to get reimbursement in Belgium for a medicine which allows patients to receive a kidney transplant. Without this innovation, these patients would reject the donor kidney and would be lifelong on dialysis.
With the support of a cross-functional team, we were able to discuss with the authorities that reimbursing this innovative treatment is not only a game changer for patients, it also saves money for the healthcare system by avoiding lifelong dialysis.

Solutions
Early dialogues
We believe in the power of discussing challenges and opportunities with relevant stakeholders, prior to the submission of an official reimbursement request. We help our clients to navigate the specific healthcare ecosystem.
Early access program
The patient's unmet medical need does not start at the time of reimbursement. That is why we help companies in setting up early access programs, so that eligible patients can start treatment prior to reimbursement.
